Event Details

Important Tire news:

“It is now apparent that the chosen tyre for the Modified 10th ISTC EC could be in short supply for the event.

The reason is the total lack of a primary component to produce the compound which is unfortunately patented by only one company in the world which is experiencing big problems and has had to interrupt, hope momentarily, the production.

Since Production Capacities are limited, even if the compound will be available again, it is not sure when and if we will get enough tyres of the original type.

In order to ensure that entrants are able to buy tyres to practise freely and the suppliers are able to fulfil their supply obligations to the organisers a different tyre will be used.

This will be the Matrix EPA-D36. This tyre is considered to be a suitable substitute and will not have the same supply issues.

Chris Hardisty, Electric Track Chairman.”

Track information

The race track has a very smooth and fast layout resulting in lap times around 12 and 13 seconds on 1/8 and 1/10 IC track cars, respectively.

Technical data of the track:

  • Length: 210 m
  • Width: 4.0 m
  • Grain: 0.8

The cars are driven in clockwise direction. The long straight is followed by a banked curve. The pit lane is directly in front of the rostrum.

Pit area

The pits can comprise 72 drivers. The pits are completely roofed and have a stone floor; additionally, they are wind protected by wooden walls in south, west and north direction.

Every table is equipped with a highly plain tabletop, an additional shelf space above, and, of course, enough 230V AC power sockets (German “Schuko”, compatible with the Europlug CEE 7/16) for every driver.

In order to track the current heat every row of tables is equipped with a monitor displaying the current race data.

There is enough electric light in the pits to allow drivers to service and prepare the cars even after sundown. If the number of drivers exceeds 72, we will establish a big tent with a solid wooden floor, many windows, plain tables and enough AC power plugs for everyone.
