This is going to be like a "compte rendu" of this succesfull event

Weather has been treatening the completion of the event but the great job of the Organizers and a lucky (and wise acceptance) supply of hundreds of meters of carpet has secured it under nearly normal circumstances.

Despite a horrible weather during friday with the worse during the opening ceremony while there were only 3 teams pending to do their parade practice was able to be finished and EFRA was able as well to make its practice press conference. .

At Saturday we held the 4 qualifying rounds with fewer showers but always treatened by its presence. it was a long racing day and the Organizing crew didnt arrive hotels or home until after 21:30, exhausting day.

You are able to find a link to to the post quaifying one at the bottom of this article.

Even so, Organizer work continued til midnight and sooner than 6:00 a.m. rolling the surface & hardpacking the track to make it able to be in the best conditions possible for the rest of the finals.

Subfinals gave us the usual good show and good performances with bump-ups like young Sergio Muñoz who was able to finish 6th overall having qualifyed at 64th position.

The over 40 final gave us an unexpected victory of a Rioja (wine region of Spain) man, Antonio (toño) Landa using a brand new TecnoPower engine.

Main Final was populated with many young people, more than half of them under 18 years old and it was clearly dominated without too many problems by a raising star, the portuguese Ricardo Monteiro with a very smooth driving of his Losi EÚ Edition & RB combo on a not so easy track.

The second place went for another portuguese young driver, Carlos Duraes, driving an Xray and also powered by RB engines showing a great future for the FEPRA in the coming years.

Third place went for future daddy Adrian Perez, the newborn girl gonna be named Adriana (a mixture of both parents names, Adrian & Ana), his participation at the next Euro is in risk as he is expected to become father in less than a month. Anyhow, congratulations.

The excellent actuation of the 1-2 portuguese drivers sent the FEPRA team to the top of the charts on the Nations Cup with Spain and Czeck republic (with Ales Bayer 4th overall) scorting them at prize giving ceremony podium.

The organizer, ATVracing Club, did it excellent, the Race Control crew and the Race Direction were close to perfection and the referees worked pretty well. ALL teams and drivers deserve a great applause for their excellent attitude during the event.

Next year the Euro B is mean to be at Lyon (France) at CAMSE Club premises, and they must work very hard to reach the good level given at this event.

See you next year at LYON VIII Euro B Champs!
