Introducing the Chairman 1/10 IC Track, Mr Guillaume Lievre

Dear all,

After a hard moment in the beginning of the year, the season has now officially started. I was elected at the last AGM in Vienna as the new 1/10th section chairman.
I'm very happy to join the EFRA team in order to learn deeply again and work with passion for our hobby.
Since two years, my friend Javier was working very hard managing both class in the IC Track section. I would like now to help him to continue and develop 1/10th IC in EFRA, especially this year with 2 main events for me :

EC in VILA REAL (Portugal) and WC in HOMESTEAD (USA).

For people who don't know me yet. I am 40 and have practiced R/c cars for 20 years, when I started to drive in former 1/10 235mm class. I have never been a very good driver but I always made my best as R/C cars are my passion since I was a teenager !
I got very quickly involved in my local club to became secretary, treasurer and in 2007 chairman of the club BMRC (BOURG EN BRESSE France) until 2013. I organized several national on road races in different scales, also one EFRA GP in 2004, and then a EC 40+ in August 2006 in my club in 1/8 and 1/10 IC.

From 2013 to 2016, I was the 1/10 IC section chairman at the French federation FFVRC, and I obtained with Mulhouse club the last 1/10th EC in France, that we organised in 2017 and where I was the race director. At that time, I have shared very some interesting moments (despite the bad weather) with international drivers and especially Mr Javier Garcia.

I accept the challenge to join him at EFRA, in order to make a nice team. I would like to learn from drivers, federation, clubs and manufacturers to find the best possible future for 1/10 IC. For sure, I need to learn and I will attend the first GP in Italy to introduce me.

I will do my best in my task as I did in every tasks I managed till now in R/C.

See you soon on the tracks,

Best regards,

Guillaume LIEVRE
