Fehring: The rain drama

Rain flooded the track and forces to a big effort
Unexpected but always possible, a heavy storm has visited us inmediately after the start of the second quarter final.

The amount of water and the safety of marshalls has forced to decide the cancellation of the run by minute 7 and to wait until better weather arrives, leaving some people unhappy (obviously those on the lead).

Rain kept falling and flooded the track with severe lakes and it kept on. After taking the water out a first re-start was impossible but lucky enough a second one had been possible by 14:00.

All 20 minutes races had been reduced to 15 minutes and the main final is gone just to 30 minutes, even so we are going to end with 2 hours delay over our timetable.

Drama does not end with the water, at first semfinal has been Cedric Roulleau who missed the pass to the main final relaying on the screen results thinking he was 6th while he really was in 7th position. Other drivers with undeserved problems had been Mario Wendler and Carlos Cardoso from Portugal.

At second semifinal the drama has gone to Greece and the leader and fastest man has broken a front arm in his car forcing him to miss the final.

Our final line up is as follows:
1.- Robert Gustafsson from SWEDEN
2.- Wolfgang Heusel from AUSTRIA
3.- Christian Hubert from AUSTRIA
4.- Walter Wendler from AUSTRIA
5.- Hansjörg Stadler from GERMANY
