Jorn Quickest
Round 1 of today's compacted timetable has now been completed. It was German driver Jorn Neumann who went quickest with his Speed Passion-powered Durango buggy (pictured). Jorn beat the similarly motivated Tamiya of Lee Martin (GB) by 2.5 seconds over the 5 minute run.

just 2 tenths of a second behind Lee was Jorn's Durango team mate, Austrian Hupo Honigl. Hupo, using LRP power in his buggy, initially appeared quicker than Lee but made a few mistakes and had some slow laps towards the end of the run due to traffic.
Sweden's Viktor Wilck, now without the on-board camera, took his Thunder Power motivated Tamiya to fourth in the round, ahead of Marc Rheinard (DE / Tamiya / Speed Passion).

Peter Pinisch was sixth overall, ahead of Danny McGee, Grant Williams, Paul Bradby and Neil Cragg completing the top 10.
With just 2 rounds to count for the overall qualifying positions, Jorn will be hoping to just adjust his driving slightly in the second round in the hope of securing pole position.
