Robert Pietsch takes TQ in Germany!

Germans to the fore in their home race!
Qualifying round 4 saw plenty of action as the track dried and the times tumbled!

However despite seeming to be much quicker than yesterday there were few overall improvements in the field.

Robert Pietsch kept TQ, but admitted his thoughts had turned to the finals as he chose to run large tyres in the final heat, the change in the rules that used to see the top 4 go straight into the A main – now the top 14 make the semis, probably behind his decision. Up to 2nd overall is pre race favourite Dirk Wischnewski, who put in the fastest time of the round.

The biggest gainer was electric Touring car specialist Ronald Volker who leapt from 115th to 7th with a fast, clear run. Come back to efra.ws soon for our full video report on Qualifying
