 Another 20-minute final, and early on Fredrick Cederberg asserted himself to take the lead in the first several minutes. Pole position Joao Lopes from Portugal found himself in seventh spot as Albert Navarro Cuenca battled with Fredrick for the lead, very close together. Markus Muncheberg and Alex Zanchettin fought over third position as Joao was moving back up through the field by the halfway mark. With several minutes to go, Albert and Fredrick were still fighting but now had Albert to deal with, so it was going to be a tight battle for the top 3 positions. Jean-Yves Konings from Belgium was now mixing it up with Markus over fourth, with Conny Andersson waiting to pounce in 6th and 7th. In the closing minutes, Dmitry and Jean-Yves had some problems which allowed Alex to move into third and Markus into fourth. The finishing order was Albert in first, Fredrick then Markus, and Joao was able to move well up the field after his early trouble. |
