Wednesday Morning Update

Track Action Finally Begins!
Following yesterday's rain, today was bright and warm from the start, meaning the racing started on schedule at 8am. The first order of the day was to complete one round of Controlled Practise in order to set the start order for the main qualifying heats.

After spending all of Tuesday without turning a wheel, the drivers were eager to get out on the track to get a feel for the conditions but also know they needed a clean run to get the best possible start position for later on.
During the Controlled Practise round only six drivers managed to turn 12 lap runs. The quickest of those was Jorn Neumann with his LRP powered Associated car. The complete top 6 were:

1 Jorn Neumann - Germany
2 Lee Martin – Great Britain
3 Hupo Honigl - Austria
4 Peter Pinisch – Austria
5 Martin Kreil – Austria
6 Ellis Stafford – Great Britain

It was also these six drivers, plus Paul Bradby (Great Britain) and Rene Trauner (Austria) who were the only ones to turn an individual laptime under 26 seconds.
