A Final - Leg 3

Harper wins nail-biting conclusion, secures second overall!
With the title already secured, Ronald Volker opted not to start the final leg of the A finals, leaving Elliott Harper as the effective pole sitter.

Once again a clean start up from gave Elliott the lead from Victor Wilck, Jilles Groskamp and Andy Moore. But Victor hit a kerb on the entrance to the infield section, allowing his team-mate Jilles through into second place.
Just a lap later Victor got back past Jilles and set about catching Elliott. Jilles then got his bodyshell caught on a tire and dropped behind Yannick Pruemper and Andy Moore. Andy really had the bit between his teeth and rapidly closed the gap to Victor and Elliott.

For lap after lap these three entertained the crowd with some brilliant, close, high speed driving. They gave each other just enough room to avoid any accidents but each knew any mistake would drop them a number of places.
But Elliott kept his composure and made no mistakes as he kept the two drivers behind him at bay and took the race victory, securing his second place on the podium.

Victor held on to second, with Andy Moore really finding the pace in his car to finish third and move himself up the overall standings.

But of course, this was really just a race for second place, Ronald Volker enjoying the action from the sidelines having secured his second European Touring Car title.
