Final Qualifying Results

Elliott fastest, takes second on grid!

Round 6 of qualifying was run under changeable conditions. With a few light rain showers the track changed from damp to slippery to almost completely dry by the end of the round. A few drivers took this opportunity to try their “wet” cars in preparation for possible rain in the finals

But it was British teenager Elliott Harper who took the brave move of preparing his usual “dry” car, with slick tires and took a race long battle with Jilles Groskamp – who had also opted for a dry car – right to the wire. Elliott took the round by just under one second from his Dutch team mate

Ronald Volker, Viktor Wilck and Marc Rheinard all used the round to test their wet cars, all pulling off before the end. This allowed Yannic Preumper to take third place in the round and improve his overall score, with Andy Moore continuing his solid performances with fourth in the round.

Olivier Bultnyck was fifth but sadly that was too little, too late as he misses out on an A Final position. Loic Jasmin was sixth and Juho Levanen hauled himself into the top 10 with another seventh place run
Indoor Euros A Finalist Viljami Kutvonen took eighth but has no other top 10 finishes so still finds himself way down the order. Spaniard Antonio Mateo Rodriguez surprised many – including himself – and recorded the ninth best time in the round. Xray's Martin Hudy took tenth in the round, but he too does not have any other top 10 finishes to back it up and so qualifies into the B Final

With an uncertain weather forecast for the finals, there's sure to be plenty of action. Keep your eyes at www.efra.ws for the press conference and full grid line up coming shortly, and of course the action from all three legs of the A final tomorrow.
