Final Qualifying Results

Last chance for drivers to improve!
The final round of qualifying is now complete from the WMW RC Buggy Racing Centre in Fehring, Austria. With some drivers already confident of their starting position and not feeling the track would allow much improvement, they tested different settings out for the final. After the dust had settled (literally), the top three drivers remained the same as they had done from the very first round, leaving Kristiaan La Gasse to take the first Large Scale Off Road European Championships Top Qualifying honour with his Modellsport powered machine.
Dario Veseli would have moved up into third place, but his earlier penalty drops him one place to fourth. Behind him is top Junior Driver, local Patrik Schweinzer. Mickael Laurent is top French driver in sixth. Patrick Hofer set the seventh fastest time to be the top German with his FG, with Nick Visser in eighth.

Ian Oddie managed to improve his time in the final round but not by enough to move him up any positions, so the British driver remains ninth. Petr Hartmann also registered an improvement and makes it into the top 10 overall.
So the 14 drivers who make it straight through to the Semi Finals are:
1 Kristiaan La Gasse (NL – Hormann / Modellsport Engine / GRP Tyres)
2 Kay Koops (NL – Elcon / G4Z Engine / MCD Tyres)
3 Ken Walckiers (B – Elcon / G4Z Engine / MCD Tyres)
4 Dario Veseli (HR)
5 Patrik Schweinzer (AT)
6 Mickael Laurent (F)
7 Patrick Hofer (D)
8 Nick Visser (NL)
9 Ian Oddie (GB)
10 Petr Hartmann (CZ)
11 Luka Cuden (SLO)
12 Hannes Kaufler (D)
13 Cedric Prevot (F)
14 Mario Wendler (AT)
But all these drivers still do not have guaranteed starting places in tomorrows Main Final, they need to race their way in by finishing in the top 5 in their respective Semi Finals.
