Saturday Morning Update!

Qualifying begins in Fehring
After yesterdays delays, qualifying has finally begun this morning here at the WMW RC Buggy Racing Centre. But with the track still not completely dry from the heavy rain of the last few days, a few drivers decided not to take to the track, hoping that the conditions may improve later on.
Dutch driver Kristiaan La Gasse set the fastest time with a 14 lap run in 10:07.542. Fellow countryman Kay Koops finished second, 7 seconds behind. Third place was Ken Walckiers from Belgium, 3 seconds behind Kay. Fourth place went to Dario Veseli from Croatia, but unfortunately he missed his marshalling duties and so the organisers are consulting the rule book to decide what penalty to apply. Fifth is French driver Mickael Laurent, 11 seconds behind Dario with a 14 laps in 10:30.958. Another Dutch driver, Nick Visser currently sits sixth, with Slovakian Luka Cuden seventh and Patrick Hofer from Germany eighth, the lap of the drivers managing to set 14 lap times.
Although the sun is now shining, the damp track earlier on has caused a few more bumps and holes in the track as the Large Scale buggys have started pounding round the track. Stay tuned to www.efra.ws throughout today as the four rounds of qualifying continue.
