1/8 EC-B Quarter Finals

Action hotting up as temperatures rise
The B Quarter Final saw pole sitter Michael Bourgeois (Belgium) take the lead for the first 5 minutes, but dropping back through the field as the race progressed. He was holding third place as the race approached the final minute, but flipped the car with 45 seconds remaining and dropped to fourth.

Maximilian Federmann (Germany) took the lead at the 5 minute point with his Novarossi powered Mugen, and from then had a race long battle with Luca Martinelli (Switzerland). Both took turns at leading, however it was Maximilian who was leading when it mattered at the end of the race. Maximilian Vogl (Germany) benefitted from Michael Bourgeois' accident to take third place in the dying moments.
In the A Quarter Final, Sabrina Lechner (Germany) led from pole position, as Jerome Papaconstantinos (France) moved up to second place on lap 1. These two started to pull away from the rest of the field and were only separated by a few seconds throughout the first quarter of the race. Ian Campbell (Ireland) ran in third place until falling down the order at three quarter distance. This meant Marc Pomponio (Monaco) breifly held third place before Rafat Zeljas (Poland) moved up with a few minutes remaining.

Sabrina held the lead for the entire race with her Max engined Serpent, Jerome finished in second and Rafat took the final place in the Semi Finals.
