Thursday report for 40+ 1/8 and 1/10 Ic Track from Skarpnäck, Sweden |
.jpg) Nice weather and perfect atmosphere in Skarpnäck track in Sweden for the EFRA EC +40 European Championship 1/8th and 1/10th. Finally 35 drivers on the track that they will do their best to be crowned new EFRA European Champion +40. Superb track, so technical and high grip (sometimes maybe too much!) has been a challenge for drivers to set up their cars. Contact RC tires has provided a good quality of tires, with low tire consumption and consistent regarding grip. The first day of the Official program started with 8 rounds of Free Practice. In 1/8th Mikael Fransson set the pace with 3 consecutives laps in 49.840, so close to him was Norwegian driver Lars Haugen with 50.265. We will see tomorrow in the Control Timed Practice!! | After that, the track was closed for the opening ceremony. Always a pleasure to come back to the +40 races, because the atmosphere is completely different. Fun, fun and more fun! The Organizer made an appetizer for everybody and we closed a fantastic race track chatting about old races in the past from 30 years ago. Tomorrow, we will start with another free practice, Control Timed Practice, and 5 rounds of Qualification and Super pole in both sections.
