LSOR Finals Day Report.

The finals of the Large Scale Euros were held under bright sunny skies and produced 2 worthy champions who managed to tame the wild track here in France.

2WD Final
Rick Hofman scored a perfect weekend to take the 2WD championship for Elcon and the Netherlands.
Hofman who had TQ’d all 4 rounds of qualifying, backed that up with a win in his Semi-final and then a lights to flag victory, blitzing the field including his brother Thijs who made it an historic 1-2 for the siblings as he fought off Adrian Uhrik for the middle step of the podium.

Van Der elst eventually had to relinquish the lead with mechanical problems leaving the other 3 to battle for lap after lap with the lead constantly changing right up to the 25 minute mark when Sartel began to fall away.
Veseli then began to pile on the pressure and Peuziat could not respond as his tyres had been “shredded” by the abrasive and treacherous surface.
Veseli managed to stroke his car home in the final couple of minutes, and the Croatian became a very popular European champion.

Finally we must congratulate the ModelEspace club for the superb organisation of this event, one that the whole town seemed to embrace given the large number of spectators who turned out to see the racing...
