EFRA 1/12th Track Championships 2016 Qualifying Report. |
| After a hectic day of qualifying at the Hudy arena in Slovakia, the grid has been set for the 2 championships at stake; the EFRA Stock (13.5T Blinky) and Modified 1/12th European Championships. |
Modified Qualifying Alexander Hagberg was the class of the field as he took his 3rd consecutive pole in the Modified European championships. However he was also his own worst enemy as mistakes leading to car failure causing crashes, resulted in 2 non-finishes in rounds 3 and 4 but Alex bounced back to take the final 2 rounds to add to his TQ in the first 2 runs to give him an unassailable lead. Olly Jeffries TQd 1 round and qualified 2nd overall, but whilst having the pace of Alex too many small mistakes on the punishing track layout at the Hudy Arena meant that over 8 minutes he was no match for his Xray team mate. Markus Mobers managed to claim 3rd with a last gasp final round performance eclipsing surprise 4th Rnd TQer Dionys Stadler. |

 Stock Qualifying The Qualifying in the stock class was a much closer affair with Alexander Laurent taking TQ in round 1 before Mobers and Hupo Honigl shared the next 4 rounds, so going onto the final round it was all to play for and it was the German Mobers who emerged victorious to leave the top ten looking like this: 1- Markus Mobers CRC 2- Hubert Honigl Xray 3- Alexander Laurent Black Art 4- Martin Wollanka Xray 5- Ollie Payne Zen Racing 6- Vesa Yli Destiny 7- Martin Wilfinger Black Art 8- Mark Jewitt Xray 9- Thorsten Muller Black Art 10- Andrej Vnucko Xray |
