RCTV lands in Bologna! |
| Qualifying complete as the heavens open! |
 The organisers here at the splendid Collari Raceway in Bologna, Italy anticipated a break in the warm blue skies at some point and so qualifying finished late afternoon and as predicted small rivers started flowing across the tarmac shortly after. |
 Serpent driver Merlin Depta who has looked dominant throughout qualifying was just beaten to the top spot during the last round by Italian pilot Andrea Lorenzi (Pictured) with 20 laps in 5:05.068. But Merlin wasnt disheartened, saying he is really loving driving on this track! TQ man Andrea said he has driven on this track many times before but, wet driving isnt something he has experienced very much so he has no strategy for that should the weather continue into the semi finals tomorrow. |
 Less happy with his day will be Stefano Solaroli who would have finished 3th but was forced to drop his fastest time - a penalty for not fulfilling his marshalling duty. He now finds himself in 11th with some work to do tomorrow Qualifying round up video coming soon. |
