What a race! Polesitter Alessi Forte, 2nd qualifier Luca Redaelli and 4th qualifier Dominik Greiner powered away, setting a blistering pace until Alessi had and unfortunate coming together with one of the other cars in the first few laps. Luca, Dominik and 3rd qualifier Giuseppe Musolino then led the charge on-track as Alessi tried hard to come back from a long pit stop and restart after his crash. He was able to make up places but was finding it very hard to catch up much time on the leading trio.

At the ten-minute mark, Luca and Dominik were evenly paced and working through much lapped traffic. Making pit stops allowed them to swap positions repeatedly, all the cars were pitting at about the 4:30 mark, such was the pace of these hard-charging drivers! At the 15-minute mark, Dominik was just 3 seconds behind Luca on the same lap, but Dominik's tyres were starting to go. Getting too small changed the gear ratio and ride height, changing the behaviour of the car. With the sun going behind clouds every few minutes, the nature of the track was also changing from hot to cooler, and back to hot again.

At the 20-minute mark, Alessi was coming back from his crash, even making up a lap on 4th place man David Loppini, but just a few minutes later something in his car gave way and he came to a stop with his gears on the track! Tragedy for the pole position driver, but his performance really showed his pace and he should be proud of what he was able to achieve.

At the same time, Dominik was driving his heart out, determined to make a good show but battling with Luca and 5th qualifier Simon Balk, who'd managed to work his way forward with a great performance, was taking its toll on his car. After changing tyres he was miraculously in first position but quickly fell back as his larger tyres were at a different gear ratio than the other top drivers. Dominik fell into the clutches of Davide Gallesi, the 7th place qualifier, but he was able to pull away after several laps. Just a few minutes later, Dominik lapped Davide, proving that his tyre change was a good idea, and Dominik was back into 2nd place, a few seconds behind Luca Redaelli in first.

In the closing laps, Dominik as able to close the gap down to as little as 1.5s then 0.6 seconds! But he was unable to close to the rear bumper of Luca's car and ultimately had to settle for a solid second position.

Congratulations LUCA REDAELLI, the 2013 EFRA 1/10th Track IC European B Champion!
