Daniel Sieber tops the timesheets in Austria

But day 2 of qualifying is a washout!
Qualifying ended yesterday with the remaining two rounds of four not featuring many drivers due to the wet conditions. So Thursday's round 2 seems to have been the deciding round in which the top qualifier German, relative newcomer to this class Daniel Sieber seems to be enjoying a great start being the only driver capable of clocking 20 laps in the 5 minutes heat time. His team mate Maximilian Vogl was also extremely happy with the running of his car, he qualified in second so will take pole in the Semi B today.
Finals today have begun wet and with the clouds hanging over the busy race facility this morning, that doesn't look to change. What that means is the race reverts to 'open' tyres rather than the dry control tyre that has been in force in farer conditions. RCTV's normally outspoken friend, Sepent's Michael Salven said that almost all the drivers he had spoken with were very happy with the control tyre rules in place this year.
However, with the unpredictable conditions, and the fact that drivers have really only had 1 or 2 rounds of qualifying in which to seed themselves, today promises to be a turbulent day with 'bump ups' galore! Qualifying video coming soon!
