4WD Qualifying Ends Early

Rain at Fehring halts Qualifying - Neumann confirmed as top qualifier
Jorn Neumann, the defending 4WD Champion, will start on pole for tomorrow's three A Finals. Neumann, who TQ'd rounds 1, 2 and 4 could only be denied pole by Britain's Darrent Bloomfield going into the fifth and final round. But the rain started to fall after just two heats, forcing organisers to cancel the last round, and declare qualifying complete after 4 rounds. The fifth round will not be rescheduled.

Jorn TQ'd Round 1, followed by teammate Hupo Honigl and 2WD winner Lee Martin. Round 2 also went the German's way, followed by Martin and Neil Cragg.
Round 3 then went to Bloomfield, with fellow Brit Paul Bradby second and Martin third again. What turned out to be the final round was again topped by Neumann, Martin was second and Cragg third.

Bloomfield only had a sixth place to back up his TQ run, thus second on the grid will be Lee Martin, replicating the top two from a year ago. Bloomfield will start third, with the complete A Final lineup as follows:
