Émilie Halluin - International Women of RC

Today we arrive in France to meet electric off road racer and International Woman of RC, Émilie Halluin!
How did you get started in RC?
I discovered this passion from my father who was French Champion in on road large scale. I started at 11 years old in short course category now I drive in 2WD and 4WD off road 1/10.

Racing cars is traditionally a male dominated activity - did you find RC a welcoming environment to join?
I was very well welcomed in this male world because precisely I am a girl and there are not many.

Would you like to see more women in the sport? Yes I would like it if there is more girls, because for example at the European Championship the women's podium would be more value and why not have a women's final at the big international races?
What would you say to any women reading this considering getting involved?
All girls are welcome because it lacks a bit of femininity in this world of « brute » and tech! And girls are more easily helped for the setup and by the sponsors.

Finally, as it's International Women's Day. Tell us a woman you look up to... (Either inside or outside of RC)
I like Margot Laffite who fights all weekends on tracks where there is a majority of men and who presents very technical TV shows on Formula 1 and all sports cars. She has succeeded has imposed herself as a pilot and also she promotes the woman in this man's world with these TV shows.
