Kim Einert - International Women of RC

On Friday, to celebrate International Women's Day we kicked off this short series meeting International Women of RC. Today we continue with Kim Einert!

Hey Kim! How did you get started in RC?
Before I started with RC my Dad was driving. I was at lot of races with him. I saw him driving and some day I told him that I want to drive too. He gave me a car and I drove my first race at our local club.

Racing cars is traditionally a male dominated activity - did you find RC a welcoming environment to join?
Yes of course! RC is a welcoming environment. I felt welcome since the day I started. All people of RC are helpful and support you where they can.

Would you like to see more women in the sport?
I would like to see more women in RC because for me it's not just a male activity. In RC we also have women who are fast. They are not World Champions but fast enough to drive against fast guys. And for sure if we have more women in RC we could have a female World Champion someday. ?

What would you say to any women reading this considering getting involved?
RC is your dream...? If so live your dream and enjoy racing! P.S.: never give up!

Finally, as it's International Women's Day. Tell us a woman you look up to... (Either inside or outside of RC)
I have no woman who I look up to because I don't want to be like someone else. I want to be how I am and try to do always the best for me.
