After a mistake from Joern Neumann, Markus Mobers took round one of qualifying held on Friday evening. Neumann hit back by taking round two on Saturday morning, before Louis Parker became the third driver to take a round in round three. Joern took rounds four and five to ensure pole position for the finals before also adding round six for good measure. Markus Mobers took second in rounds three, four and five, which added to his Friday round one win to secure second on the grid. Consistency was the name of the game for Mark Stiles, who scored second in rounds two and six to add to the third in round four to capture third position on the grid. Louis Parker backed up his round three win with a brace of fourth places in rounds four and five to take fourth position.Modified
Ollie Payne seized on an uncharacteristic error filled run from defending champion Alexander Hagberg to take round one on Friday evening, prompting Alex to unleash a great display of dominance to take all five of Saturdays qualifying rounds ensuring he would begin his title defence from pole position. Ollie’s round one win combined with second places in rounds four and six meant he would start his bid to break Hagberg’s six year winning streak from second position, while Joern Neumann took second in the first two rounds then added a third in round three to take third position on the grid for the finals.
