Efra 1/8th Electric Buggy Finals Report and video

3 for David in 3!
David Ronnefalk claimed his 3rd European Championship in Spain today adding the 1/8th Electric Buggy championship to his two Nitro buggy wins in 2013 and 2015.
It wasn’t all plane sailing as despite starting from pole he was pushed hard in every leg by Juan Carlos Canas of Spain and Portugal’s supremely versatile Bruno Coelho. Leg one saw a textbook lights to flag victory for the Swede as he led home Canas and Coelho but this all changed in Leg two when a couple of bad landings at the final corner saw Ronnefalk down to 3rd and Canas leading with style. David managed to get past Bruno but couldn’t catch the young Spaniard so it would go to a final leg.
The Final race saw Ronnefalk take off in the lead but behind him a battle royal took place between Canas and Coelho as they swapped positions on many occasions unfortunately this also had the effect of allowing David to get away and run with less pressure to stroke it home for the win.

EFRA 1/8th Electric Buggy Qualifying Report.

Almost Perfect for Ronnefalk!

A warm dry and sunny day here in Spain saw David Ronnefalk destroy the opposition taking 4 TQs out of the 5 qualifying rounds and only missing out on a perfect score when a tyre came unglued in the final round of qualifying.
The Swede has seemed like the man to beat since the cars hit the track and the HB driver described himself as “Super Happy” to have taken pole.
Lining up behind David for the three 10 minute legs of the “A” final will be Reigning 1/8th IC “B” off road champions Juan Carlos Canas. The young Spaniard taking TQ in round 5 to back up an impressive run of results 3rd on the grid is the multi talented Bruno Coelho, the Portuguese driver and reigning EFRA European 1/10th IC track champion has just returned from China where he narrowly missed out on the IFMAR ISTC world championship.
Bruno is driving this class for the first time in anger after a short test session with his new Xray chassis
The top 13 who qualify for the “A” finals on Sunday are as follows:
